How This Financing Option Works

Custom Solar Design

Our experienced Solar Designer creates a solar energy system tailored to meet your home’s energy needs and goals.

A Trusted System Owner - It's Us!

Amicus Impact (made up of ReVision and our Amicus partners) initially owns the system and receives the tax credit.

No for-profit investors. No shareholders looking for speedy returns. Just a mission-driven solar cooperative.

Save up to 30% on Your System

Your price is approximately 70-75% of the total project cost. That discount reflects the tax credit savings.

Ownership After 5 Years

All the electricity your array generates goes directly to you from Day 1. The financing structure keeps ownership of the system for 5 years (as required by the IRS tax code) after which ownership can flip to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes PowerPath different?

The 30% Federal Tax Credit for solar was removed for homeowners (but kept for businesses) in 2025. This new financing option leverages that so you can achieve up to 30% off your total system cost - and you get the savings immediately instead of having to wait for tax season!

Unlike traditional financing options, there’s no for-profit financing company needing to make shareholder return. That means fewer fees, fewer complications, and a program built by a cooperative specifically to support the growth of solar, not to generate profits for third parties.

Why does a business have to own the system for 5 years?

To qualify for the commercial solar tax credit (as required by the IRS tax code) a company needs to own the system for 5 years. PowerPath leverages a business taking advantage of the tax credit for a homeowner.

What happens in year six?

All the electricity your array generates goes directly to you from Day 1. PowerPath's prepaid lease structure is designed to keep ownership of the system for 5 years (as required by the IRS tax code) and then ownership can flip to you in year 6.

What happens if I sell my house?

If you sell your home within the first five years, the new homeowner will take over the remainder of the lease. After 5 years, ownership can flip to them.

If you sell your home after year 5, if you already have full ownership of the system, it's part of the house; monitoring can be easily transferred to the new owners.

Who will service my system if something happens?

ReVision Energy will service your system. We have a 24/7 in-house service team. You receive our 10-year workmanship warranty and 25-year manufacturer warranty.

How do I qualify for PowerPath?

Unlike traditional financing models, with Amicus PowerPath there is no credit check or other type of financial qualification.

There are some limitations based on array type and size, but for the majority of customers, if your roof will work for solar, you qualify for PowerPath.

It's clear, it's easy, it's straightforward.
