And an electricity rate that is lower than your current electricity costs.
Your rate stays the same for 25 years. If you're paying $115/month at the beginning, you'll be paying $115/month in 2050.
Our trusted third-party partners are the lifetime asset owner. They deal with the complicated incentives so you don't have to.
You don't ever need to worry about service. The third-party owner will take care of everything, for 25 years.
Until now, ReVision Energy has not found a lease program it could stand behind. Historically, solar leases with high annual escalators, unclear ownership structure, dubious sales pitches, and disappearing companies have made us all understandably cautious.
This one is different. We’ve built our lease around what is best for our customers, not the lease provider.
Do you like the sound of any of these?
Zero upfront cost
Predictable monthly payments
Minimal responsibility and maintenance included
Long-term energy stability
If so, you might be a good fit!
We've founded with Palmetto, a trusted third party owner. Founded in 2010, Palmetto is a leading US clean energy & home sustainability platform that launched their finance platform in 2023 and today has over 700 U.S. installers in their network with over 50,000 renewable energy customers in service, nationwide. Palmetto partnered with the Amicus Solar Cooperative to allow its members, including ReVision Energy, favorable terms. Approximately 40 Amicus members also use their financing platform.
Unlike most residential Third Party Owners (companies that offer Solar Leases and Power Purchase Agreements), Palmetto does not flip leases to investors. Instead, Palmetto retains ownership of the physical asset and instead securitize the payment stream (ABS). Palmetto owns every solar system for the full 25-year lease, and their business model is based on that system continuing to produce energy.
The Earth doesn't care how you go solar! No matter purchase or lease, the environmental benefit is equal. The panels on your roof produce clean energy that reduces carbon emissions and air pollution.
If you sell your house you can either transfer the remaining term of the lease to the new owner or you can buy out the system at Fair Market Value and include the solar array in the sale of the home. While Fair Market Value cannot legally be determined before the time of sale, generally Fair Market Value decreases over time as the system ages.
This means that homeowners who intend to sell their home in 5 years or less should not do a solar lease and should instead go solar though one of our loan options.
Palmetto keeps ownership of your system for the term of the lease, and is responsible for maintenance and service. Palmetto has multiple partners for servicing systems in all of the areas in which they work. Should you need service, ReVision may be called on to service your array but another service partner may be selected instead.
One of the ways solar leasing has developed a poor reputation over time is due to misleading or inaccurate sales practices that have left homeowners surprised about which party is responsible for what. While traditional maintenance (replacement of failed components, for instance) is the responsibility of Palmetto, some less-common site-specific issues, like damage caused by critters on the roof, falls on the homeowner. Because of this, ReVision maximizes homeowner protection by including a critter guard system on every lease system we install.
